The searchable inventory of questions from surveys on tobacco use provides researchers and program evaluators with survey questions that pertain to tobacco control and/or tobacco use. The vast majority of surveys in this inventory were conducted exclusively in Canada, however, some surveys are part of larger international studies that collected data from other countries in addition to collecting data from Canadians.
By employing question items that have been used in other surveys, researchers can develop questionnaires that allow comparisons with other jurisdictions or across time. The inventory can also be used to locate surveys and datasets that used a particular question.
Users of the database are able to search for questionnaire items by selecting multiple search criteria and/or entering terms into the search field. A customized report is easily generated by marking selected questionnaire items. This report can be viewed, printed, or saved as a word document.
